We'd be happy to get you connected to the UpToDate resource!

This is a three-part process if you're looking to put this on a mobile device, and I venture that will be the case for the majority of people using this.

Part 1: Creating an account

• Go to our library website (https://library.arbor.edu)
• On the menu bar, click "Find," then click "Articles"
• There are several ways to get to UpToDate from here; one is to click the link that says "Go to the A to Z List of Article Databases"
• On the resulting page, locate Up-To-Date alphabetically and then click on that link.
• Sign in if prompted with your MySAU credentials (you won't be prompted if you're already logged on to the MySAU portal or on campus)
• On the Up-To-Date page, you will need to register for an account with their service.  You will be creating a login that you will use on the mobile app.
• Locate the registration link in the upper right hand corner, or in the middle of the page below the search bar is a link that asks if you want the UpToDate app; click on either one and follow the prompts.

Parts 2 & 3: Download the app; Login to the app

Once you have completed part 1, go to the AppStore associated with your mobile device and download the UpToDate app.  UpToDate gives the following instructions:

To download and install UpToDate Mobile:

For iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

FIND: Open the App Store on your device and search for "UpToDate". Choose the UpToDate icon from the results.

INSTALL: Tap the Free button and it will change to Install. Tap the Install button, (you may be prompted to enter your App Store password).

LOG IN: When installation is complete tap the UpToDate icon and launch the App. At the prompt enter your UpToDate user name and password.

For Android

FIND: Launch the Google Play icon (or Android Market or Market) from your Android device. Choose "Apps" then choose the search icon (usually upper right, icon is a magnifying glass). Search for "UpToDate Medical".

INSTALL: Tap the UpToDate icon from the resulting list and the UpToDate app description screen will open. From the UpToDate app description screen, choose the "Free" button to the right of the UpToDate icon. It will change to an "OK button". The app will now download and a small icon will animate at the top left of your screen. From the top of the screen, slide your finger down to reveal the download screen and install the UpToDate app.

LOG IN: When installation is complete tap the UpToDate icon and launch the App. At the prompt enter your UpToDate user name and password.

Remember: the login on the app will be with the username and password you just created during the registration process.

One more note:  Since this is a subscription service and users have to be paid for, the app will require users to go to back to the library site approximately every 90 days, go through the proxy, and login again. You will just be repeating the above steps to get to the website and login to the database.
